I have always been an observer, watching and processing the world around me. The artwork that I make is the story I have to tell. At the core, my work is about interpretations and juxtapositions, whether it is my early work built around Americana hunting culture and questions of gender or my newest work which examines perceptions of beauty. I am asking these fundamental questions by creating relationships of opposites. Human are complicated; the world is complicated. Oppositional forces can exist at the same time despite the all too common desire for order. My process is obsessional in nature; It is a strategy that serves both the crafting of the work (working in multiples) and the conceptual framework of the ideas.
